Cynthia Dennis is a gospel artist, Song writer and a Worshipper from Imo State, Nigeria. After years of soul searching and studying the standard teachings of the church, She is a free person that seeks to glorify God through song. She is known for writing songs like “ESHE” which has been featured on Independent Media Radio , Blogs and all streaming platforms.
The inspiration for the song “Jesus Has Done Me Well” came while the songwriter was attending Azusa in Nairobi, Kenya. The song was written in their hotel room after an Azusa service, during a moment of deep reflection on the teachings about the death, resurrection, and the power in the name of Jesus.
At the time, the songwriter had a son who was suffering from a knee injury. He had been to an orthopedic hospital where he was instructed to wear a brace for a period of time. However, after hearing the profound messages about Christ and His finished work on the cross, the songwriter felt a stirring of faith. They picked up the phone and called their son, asking him if he believed that Jesus could heal him. The son responded with a resounding “yes.” The songwriter then told him to remove the braces and boldly declare healing in the mighty name of Jesus. The son obeyed, and the songwriter declared, “By the finished work of Christ on the cross, you are healed.” The son shouted “Amen!”—and from that moment, all pain disappeared. He was completely healed and made whole.
The songwriter believes that the greatest gift anyone can receive is the revelation of Christ. This song reflects on the results of that revelation and the rich heritage believers have in Him.
